A West Side Story...

It all started on the Upper West Side of NYC.

I was working my (what felt like) 50th retail job at this point, and absolutely hating it. My takeaways? Fashion retail was full of low morale and inequity. You had to choose whether you wanted to look good and be treated well or remain stable and accept the basic treatment. What made the difference? The depth of your pockets.

I sat at home and said it was time for me to create a better system. I was a woman in her 20’s in NYC- so let’s face it, I had zero time to spare. I was always on the run, and I had no idea how I would do it, and even less of an idea on where to start. I looked down at my grandfather’s ring that I (still) wear proudly everyday, and suddenly knew exactly what I needed to do. ZIIV Collection was born shortly after. And the rest? History.
